Momentum and Meaningful Progress: First 60 Days of Fortify Restoration

The first 60 days under the Fortify Restoration platform have been defining — not because of headlines, but because of execution. Following the integration of GC Restoration into the Fortify family, our focus has been steady and intentional: protect the legacy that was built, reinforce trust across the market, and demonstrate through action that this next chapter strengthens what already worked. For nearly two decades, GC Restoration earned its reputation across South Florida through disciplined structural restoration work, technical expertise, and long-standing relationships with engineers, property managers, and building owners. That foundation remains intact. The same project managers, superintendents, and field crews continue leading projects with the same standards for quality, safety, and communication. What has evolved is the structure behind the team. Fortify Restoration brings expanded operational systems, strategic oversight, and long-term infrastructure designed to support growth without compromising execution.

Reinforcing Confidence Through Performance

Transitions naturally prompt questions. Clients who worked with GC Restoration wanted reassurance that the culture, craftsmanship, and accountability they relied on would continue under the Fortify name. The answer has not been found in messaging — it has been found in performance. Active projects have continued with consistency. Communication remains direct and transparent. Safety protocols remain rigorous. Field leadership remains steady. The integration has been seamless because it builds upon the same team and the same values. Fortify Restoration is not a replacement; it is reinforcement. The platform is stronger, but the people and principles that earned trust remain the same.

Strategic Alignment and Board-Level Oversight

Early in this transition, we convened our first Board Meeting under the Fortify Restoration platform in Miami. These meetings are not ceremonial; they are working sessions designed to pressure-test strategy, review operational performance, and confirm alignment as we scale. Stepping back from daily project demands allows leadership to evaluate risk management, staffing alignment, growth pacing, and execution standards with clarity. The discussion reinforced both the opportunity in front of us and the discipline required to capture it responsibly. Board-level engagement ensures that expansion remains structured and accountable. It confirms that Fortify Restoration is building something durable — not simply growing for the sake of growth.

Culture as the Anchor

While the platform has expanded, the culture remains the constant. Over the past two months, we reinforced safety training focused on swing stage compliance and high-rise restoration protocols. Safety is not procedural for us; it is foundational. We strengthened onboarding systems to ensure clarity and consistency for new team members, and team-building initiatives have reinforced collaboration between office and field teams. We also recognized leadership within our ranks, promoting Juan Murillo and Jesus Morales to Senior Project Manager roles and Andres Carrasco to Project Manager | Estimator. These promotions reflect continuity and reinforce that the team who built GC Restoration’s reputation continues to drive Fortify’s execution today.

Expanding Leadership and Building for the Future

Growth requires leadership depth. During these first 60 days, we welcomed Gisele Saygi as Senior Director of Business Development and Olivia Lawson as Business Development Coordinator. Their addition strengthens our ability to support client relationships, coordinate outreach, and expand thoughtfully across Florida. The emphasis is not on rapid expansion, but on deliberate and sustainable growth supported by the right people. At the same time, we launched our first Lunch & Learn session — the beginning of an ongoing educational initiative. These sessions provide practical insight into structural restoration planning, compliance requirements, and proactive asset protection strategies. The response reinforced that there is strong demand for technically grounded, transparent discussion within our industry. Education is part of how we serve.

Fortify Uncorked and Industry Engagement

One of the most visible expressions of this momentum was Fortify Uncorked at Maple & Ash. The evening brought together clients, engineers, property managers, and industry partners for a curated experience designed to strengthen relationships outside the jobsite. Restoration work is technical, but it is also relational. Trust is built in the field and strengthened through connection. The event reflected our commitment to being present, engaged, and invested in the people we work alongside every day. Beyond that evening, our leadership team has been actively meeting with property management firms, engineering partners, and associations throughout Florida. These conversations reinforce alignment before projects begin. Restoration requires coordination across multiple stakeholders, and strong communication early often determines how smoothly execution unfolds later.

Building Forward

The first 60 days under Fortify Restoration have demonstrated alignment, momentum, and disciplined execution. For those who built long-standing relationships with GC Restoration, the message is straightforward: the foundation remains intact. The people you trust are still here. The standards you expect remain unchanged. What has strengthened is the structure supporting them. Fortify Restoration is building forward — with the same team, the same values, and a platform designed to sustain growth responsibly. The momentum is real, and it is grounded in performance.
