Beaches Construction was founded in 1999 and established a long-standing presence in the Florida Panhandle market. Over time, the company built its reputation through residential and commercial construction work shaped by local experience, hands-on oversight, and a commitment to quality.
Beach Contracting was founded in 2006 and became a recognized name in South Florida restoration. With a focus on concrete restoration, painting, and waterproofing, the company developed strong relationships and a solid reputation serving high-rise condominiums, hotels, and commercial properties.
GC Construction was founded in 2007 by the Cabada family — Maria, Albert, and Jorge — and became the foundation of what would later become Fortify Restoration. The business earned trust in the South Florida market through structural restoration expertise, dependable service, and a strong track record across complex building restoration projects.
The tragic collapse of Champlain Tower South in Surfside, Florida (2021) fundamentally reshaped the landscape of building safety, inspections, and structural compliance across the state. In its aftermath, legislation has continued to evolve, engineering requirements have tightened, and the responsibility placed on building owners and managers has increased significantly.
Signed into law on May 26, 2022, Florida Senate Bill 4-D introduced mandatory structural inspections and reserve funding requirements for condominium buildings three stories or higher. Triggered by the 2021 Surfside collapse, the law requires milestone inspections at 30 years of age, or 25 years within three miles of the coast, and prohibits associations from waiving reserves for critical structural repairs.
In 2023, Philip Bonabi acquired Beaches Construction and continued building on the company’s legacy in the Florida Panhandle. With established regional roots and a history of delivering quality projects, the business remained well positioned for long-term growth and future alignment with Fortify’s platform strategy.
Fortify was created to meet this need with trust, integrity, and strength. Today, stakeholders — including HOAs, engineers, property managers, and owners — must navigate a far more complex regulatory environment while ensuring the long-term safety of aging structures. Fortify Restoration exists to meet this moment, serving as a trusted partner and contractor committed to protecting people, property, and the best interests of all parties involved.
In 2025, Fortify Restoration completed the acquisition of GC Restoration establishing the core of our platform. We anticipate additional acquisitions during the first half of 2026 as we continue partnering with legacy businesses whose values align with our own. Our goal is not to change what made these companies successful, but to amplify it.
In April 2026, Fortify Restoration acquired Beach Contracting, expanding the platform’s presence in South Florida. The addition strengthened Fortify’s local density in a core market and brought together another respected operator known for quality workmanship, responsive service, and strong customer relationships.
Following the Beach Contracting transaction, Fortify also moved forward with the addition of Beaches Construction as part of its broader growth strategy. This next step further reinforced Fortify’s vision of building a high-quality regional platform by partnering with legacy businesses whose values, reputation, and service standards align with its own.
Fortify’s growth strategy is centered on partnering with respected restoration businesses that already have the trust of their markets, then strengthening those businesses with additional leadership, operational resources, and platform support. Rather than replacing what made these companies successful, Fortify’s goal is to preserve their legacy and amplify their ability to serve more clients, more consistently, across a broader footprint.

Fortify’s foundation was established through its partnership with the Cabada family’s restoration business in South Florida. That business brought years of experience, trusted relationships, and a strong reputation in structural restoration, waterproofing, recertification support, and exterior rehabilitation. The partnership created the initial base from which Fortify could scale.

Beach Contracting specializes in concrete restoration, painting, and waterproofing for high-rise condominiums, hotels, and commercial properties across South Florida. Known for high-quality workmanship, responsive service, and strong client relationships, the company helps commercial and multifamily properties protect, restore, and maintain their buildings. The acquisition strengthens Fortify’s presence in a core market while adding valuable local density and established customer relationships.

Beaches Construction delivers residential and commercial projects with an emphasis on quality, safety, and reliability. Their team pairs expert craftsmanship with careful planning and active project oversight to keep work organized, on schedule, and built to last, whether the project involves custom homes, condominium renovations, commercial development, or milestone structural repairs.
We recognize the industry’s shortage of well-resourced, highly coordinated partners capable of delivering complex structural repair, waterproofing, and exterior envelope work with uncompromising standards of communication, safety, and execution. Our role is to help protect residents, support engineers, reduce uncertainty, and deliver predictable outcomes in an environment where the cost of failure is incredibly high.
Florida continues to face an unprecedented demand for structural repair, waterproofing, concrete rehabilitation, and recertification-related work. Fortify’s mission is to meet that need by becoming the preeminent concrete restoration and building envelope contractor in the State of Florida. We are deepening and strengthening — fortifying — our presence in South Florida, ensuring buildings in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties receive the expertise, responsiveness, and disciplined execution required in one of the nation’s most demanding coastal environments.
From this foundation, we are expanding into additional high-need Florida markets, including major markets: Tampa, Orlando, Naples / Fort Myers, Daytona, Jacksonville, and the Florida Panhandle. Beyond Florida, our long-term vision includes expansion into neighboring Southeastern states and additional regional markets, where aging coastal, sunbelt, and general infrastructure presents similar risks and needs. This broader geographic growth is planned for the later stages of our 3–5 year roadmap and beyond as the platform scales and additional partner companies join the Fortify family.
Our roadmap is built around expanding operational capacity, integrating future acquisitions, investing in self-perform, W2 labor, elevating safety and project controls, and ensuring we can deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across every market we serve.
Our approach prioritizes heritage, continuity, and support — allowing owners to protect what they built while giving their teams access to the resources and operational strength of a larger platform. We’re building a family of legacy-driven businesses that take pride in their reputation and the quality of their work. If you own a roofing, waterproofing, concrete repair, or structural restoration company and are exploring a partnership or succession opportunity, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
