Connecting With South Florida’s Building Community

Stepping onto the tradeshow floor for the first time was a milestone for GC Restoration, now Fortify Restoration, as it marked an important moment of growth and visibility. Our team attended the 2025 Cooperator Events South Florida Expo, held at the Broward County Convention Center, with a clear purpose: to connect, listen, and introduce both the legacy behind our work and the future we are building.

As a structural restoration firm, much of what we do happens quietly and methodically. This event gave us the opportunity to step away from the jobsite and speak directly with the people we serve every day: property managers, board members, apartment building owners, shareholders, and real estate professionals navigating the realities of maintaining structures in Florida.

Throughout the day, conversations focused on real and pressing concerns. How to plan for long-term restoration in an environment shaped by coastal exposure. How to stay current as building codes and inspection requirements evolve. How to approach concrete restoration, waterproofing, and façade rehabilitation in a way that prioritizes safety while protecting long-term value.

Representing the team were Jorge Cabada, Anthony Cabada, Olivia Lawson, and our newest addition, Director of Operations and Integration, Robin Woods. Together, they shared how GC Restoration’s legacy now moves forward as part of Fortify Restoration. The discussion centered on what this expanded platform means in practice: greater resources, deeper operational support, and a team structure designed to meet increasingly complex restoration needs without losing the accountability and trust our clients expect.

Just as important as sharing our story was listening. These conversations reinforced the importance of thoughtful planning, clear communication, and experienced execution when it comes to restoring and protecting Florida’s buildings. They also highlighted the growing need for partners who understand both the technical and regulatory demands of structural restoration, especially when it comes to concrete repair and long-term compliance.

Attending our first tradeshow was more than a milestone. It was a reflection of where we are headed. As GC Restoration continues forward as part of Fortify Restoration, our focus remains unchanged: protecting buildings, supporting communities, and standing behind our work.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with industry peers and clients in person and look forward to participating in future events. This is just the beginning of a new chapter, built on a strong foundation of experience, trust, and a shared commitment to helping buildings last.
